1)      Explain the significance of the example of temple at Sanchi in terms of design and planning.                                                                                                                     10

a)      Shikhara/Vimana and Gopuram

b)      Dravidian Shikhara and Indo-Aryan Shikhara with sketches                              15                                                                                                                                     

3)      Write short notes on,

a)      Pradakshina Patha

b)      Antarala in a Dravidian temple

c)      Garbha Griha                                                                                                        15

4)   Differentiate between Rock cut and structural temples with one example from each type.                                                                                                                                      20

                             

5)   Compare Lad Khan temple with Durga temple in terms of plan and forms with sketches.                                                                                                                                       20

           

INSTRUCTIONS

1.      Assignments should be submitted in unruled A4 size sheets put together in a stick file.

2.      Write only your Name, USN, Subject, Class, Assignment no & date on the cover page.

3.      Make margins on all sides of all the sheets with pencil.

4.      Use either black or blue pen for writing and pencil for sketches.

5.      15 marks will be straightaway allotted if the above mentioned instructions are followed.

6.      5 marks will be given for neat work.
